It’s simple: shoddy efforts reap shoddy results! Your scalp health is just as if not more important than the health of your strands. Healthy hair cannot grow from an unhealthy, buildup laden scalp so make sure you set aside enough time to clean it thoroughly. We all lead busy lives but we always seem to make time for the things we really feel are important. If the overall health of your hair is important to you, you will do what’s necessary to maintain its health. Skipping steps or rushing through the process will only do more damage than good so take your time and do it right. I know you’re thinking, “but it takes soooo long!” Hey! I know a few naturalistas who turn wash day an all-out affair complete with a relaxing soak in a bubble bath, glass of wine in hand! You don’t have to dread washing your…
Woooooohooo!! I made it! We made it! Shoutout to Awesomely Luvvie for introducing this challenge and all my #31WriteNow blogger buddies who stuck it out for the whole month of August including Naturally Supreme, Love. Embrace. Inspire., Kitten Heel Marvel, NaturallyMe35, and The HodgePodge Files. Even if you missed a day or two, the effort was definitely evident and for that, I give you props! I truly appreciate the encouragement and the support between us was amazing. ♥♥ Now, I’m not gonna act like this was a walk in the park… a “challenge” it was. Quite a number of articles made it in just before the stroke of midnight or a few hours before but hey, as long as it was “today”, it counted! LOL! As I began this challenge, I gulped in nervousness wondering if I would be able to come up with content interesting or even entertaining enough to fill 31…
Howdy! Welp, last Friday you saw my brainstorming in action as I tried to figure out what to wear to this brunch with an all-white theme. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you may have already caught a glimpse of my getup. Here it is in all it’s glory… Hair: Marley Twists Necklace: Aldo (similar here & here) Dress: Rainbow (similar) Gap scarf worn as belt (super old- similar here) Shoes: JustFab (similar here) I wasn’t sure WHAT to expect when I walked into Rainbow with my tight budget (limit- $20!) but I was hoping for a miracle. Would I find something brunch-worthy?! This strapless dress was the only thing in the entire store that was all white, basic enough to dress up and at a length I was comfortable with. I’ve basically been over the high-low thing since it began (LOL!) but this was doable since the “high” wasn’t…

Happy Wednesday everybody! I had so much fun doing my 20 Random Facts list that I thought I’d share a little more randomness! {heeheehee} 1. When I was little, I had a Caucasian red-headed Cabbage Patch doll… who I named Felicia. o_O 2. I went back to natural hair once before somewhere around 2000/2001. When I cut all the relaxed hair off, I had like a half of an inch of new growth- hated it!! Not the hair itself but how short it was. I have a large dome-piece, y’all, so I knew when I tried again, I would need to let it grow out some more. It took like eight years but I’m here! ^_^ 3. I have my daddy’s feet {Not. Cool.} :-/ It took YEEEAARRRS for me to be comfortable with wearing open toe footwear. 4. Favorite movies: Coming to America, Brown Sugar, Love and Basketball, Scott…
