using what you have is great when starting out as a digital content creator. as you start to earn money, it's good to invest in your craft. here's what I use most often as a content creator.

my laptop

1

much of my content is created & edited right here! even though I can do much on my phone, I find typing on a keyboard quicker, easier & more accurate.

wireless mouse

2

what a life-saver this has been. I wish I had gotten this much sooner! creating is much faster

tripod

3

this is my old faithful that still does the job! great to use with my vlogging camera & will also work with a pro photography camera for self-shooting.

ring light

4

when natural light is low or I need to shoot at night, this ring light is my savior! comes with remote & carrying case.

tripod phone adapter

5

a must-have for shooting short-form video for social & need to be hands-free. attaches to any tripod with ease.

camera with flip screen

6

was so excited to finally have a vlog-style camera where I can make sure I'm in view while shooting.

cloth backdrop

7

if your background isn't quite to your liking when you want to create beauty content, a solid backdrop is a good idea.

external hard drive

8

we take SO many pics & a lot of video! there comes a point where you need some extra or back up storage. an external hard drive was a must!

portable charger

9

few things are worse as a content creator than being out capturing content or at events & your battery dies. trust me! get a portable charger!

bluetooth earbuds

10

when editing video in-transit or at a local coffee shop, earbuds are essential. showing the ones my husband uses (& loves!) as mine are no longer available.

notebook

11

even with the convenience of technology, I'm still a pen & paper type of girl. love the satisfaction of writing lists & crossing things off. an inspirational quote helps too!
