Breakage vs shedding. I often hear these terms used interchangeably, do you? Are you aware of the difference between the two? Welp, here ya go… Why is it important to understand if you’re experiencing breakage vs shedding? Once you know the symptoms and causes of an issue, you’re in a better position to treat it. Yes, my friends… shedding is a normal part of the growth cycle. On average, we can lose up to one-hundred hairs per day. The hair that falls out is making room for new hair to come in. However, there are times when shedding can become excessive and be a real cause for concern. For more on these triggers and how you can overcome them, take a look at this post. Breakage, on the other hand, is the result of damage. Dryness, over-manipulation, excessive heat-styling, etc. can all be causes of damage. The tips I’ve listed here…

The black skirt. A staple in the closets of many for their versatility and functionality. To continue this love affair I have with H&M’s Spring offerings, I’m giving you two ways to style my absolute favorite item of my top ten– the Crinkled Skirt– using a host of items from the line. However, I understand that in these times, even with a discount, some still may not have the budget to purchase one at the moment. That does not mean you’re without hope! Why Steam Anyway? Steaming is so effective in a one’s hair care routine because it provides just the right amount of moisture and hydration to the hair to soften it and make it easier to manage without completely rewetting it. It can be done to give you volume, revive that wash & go or give you a little moisture to re-twist your hair for a fresh do without starting from scratch. When…
