Last month, with almost a week til my due date, the hubster and I got together with Danni of DFinney Photography for an impromptu maternity photo shoot. Were we pushing it? Probably. LOL! But I'm so happy we were able to squeeze it in while she was in town.

Fashion Friday: Fedora, Faux Leather & Denim

On an unseasonably warm November day, I made my way over to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade to help shoot some footage with Natasha of Mane Moves TV and Brooklyn Independent Media (deets on that to come). Of course, I had to represent for the BK! Here’s what I did… This leather/faux leather combo jacket was one of many gems I walked away with from an event organized by super stylish thrifter Afroista at Buy the Bag. Won it in a contest. Wooot! Hat: H&M (similar) | Scarf: H&M (love this!) | Jacket: (Thrifted) Bebe | Shirt: Old, Gap (very close) | Jeans: Old Navy | Boots: Target (pretty close) At about fourteen weeks pregnant, I was tired and beginning to… expand (LOL)! Breakfast, Blazers & Boots: Fall Fashion in Harlem

It took me about two full weeks to come to grips with the fact that fall was here… I did NOT wanna let go of summer! October 3rd was probably the first day I actually accepted the change and donned an entire outfit of ‘official’ fall wear, complete with a heavy-ish blazer and riding boots. It’s really, like… an autumn uniform. I trekked over to Harlem’s Lenox Coffee to chat with Ijeoma of Klassy Kinks and did a little tablet photo shoot afterwards… what happens when you leave the SD card for your DSLR at home! Fashion Friday: Candy Stripes ‘n’ Kicks

Matinée movie date with the hubs… work immediately afterwards. I finally dug my Pro-Keds out from under the bed a couple weeks ago. I had been rocking my very serious, good-for-your-feet running sneakers at work (lots of standing and walking involved in my job) but I thought it was about time I break out the fun kicks. Scored these puppies at the no longer existing Daffy’s department store some years back. Of course, that isn’t what I went for but I couldn’t pass up the deal, especially since they were the last pair in the store and in my size.
