Whether you call them jumpsuits, playsuits or rompers, they have certainly become the quintessential item for Summertime over the last few years. This season, we’re seeing tons of ’em popping up in some fabulous hues and prints to suit just about every taste and scream “fun in the sun”! Here are three faves that I found while snooping around on a few of my favorite fashion sites… Look 1: Romper– H&M; Necklace; Thong Sandal | Look 2: Romper– Dorothy Perkins; Necklace; Wedge Sandal | Look 3: Romper– Topshop; Necklace; High Heel Sandal Make your romper office-ready (if your office even allows shorts and things…) by pairing it with a smart cropped blazer. While Springtime is normally all about bright and bold hues, you don’t necessarily have to be draped in it from head to toe, especially if color really isn’t your “thing”. BUT… a great way to add a pop of color is with a gorgeous statement necklace. The purpose of this piece of jewelry is all in the name- it makes a statement all on its own. That said, they’re best when worn with a rather simple ensemble as it does the job of bringing a taste of drama. Also, simple studs or similar will do if you’re rockin’ one of these. Earrings that are just as attention-grabbing as your necklace are just way too much and will drown out the statement that your neck wear is trying to make. Remember how you used to ransack your mom’s jewelry box and put everything on? Yeah, don’t be that girl. LOL! 😉…

I’ve been trying to think up some profound intro for this post, perhaps some super poetic description of Miss Lupita Nyong’o. Listen, it ain’t happenin’! What is there to say except… This chick bad! Here are four reasons why (in my humble opinion). So, ummm, let’s start with the obvious. {1} The Fashion! I’m gonna be completely honest… I hadn’t the slightest idea who this beauty was before the Golden Globes (nope, didn’t see 12 Years A Slave) but, needless to say, she has had my attention ever since! Welcome to Thursday! As I mentioned in last week’s Fashion Friday post, today, I am excited to finally be participating in ModCloth’s Uniquely You Campaign & Challenge along with a number of fellow bloggers. We were asked to style a featured item using up to seven additional items from ModCloth. This week, it’s Evening of Extravagance… This dress is great for any formal affair be it a wedding or a cocktail dinner with the ladies. And get this, it goes up to 4X! Awesome! There were so many lovely accessories to choose from that I had my indecisive moments. The one thing that was a no-brainer was the mint-colored shoulder bag (which I’d wear as a clutch by tucking the chain inside). How adorable!
