Fashion Friday: BRIGHT Floral Midi Skirt

I can’t get enough of skirts in the summertime! The maxi is a definite love but what really makes me wanna skip through a meadow is a great-fitting circle skirt… the midi, more specifically. What better way to represent at a breakfast and hair care line presentation with the crew at SoftSheen-Carson than to get a little ‘dolled-up’ with my (relatively) new favorite BRIGHT floral midi skirt! Skirt: H&M | Cropped Cotton Blazer (old): Forever 21 | White Tank: Target | Shoes: Necessary Clothing | Bag (old): H&M | Necklace: Unknown Because I’ve been ‘cursed’ with a larger *cough* posterior in conjunction with a tiny waist, finding clothing that fits properly can be challenging. Fashion Friday: 8 Statement Necklaces for (Just About) Any Budget

While Springtime is normally all about bright and bold hues, you don’t necessarily have to be draped in it from head to toe, especially if color really isn’t your “thing”. BUT… a great way to add a pop of color is with a gorgeous statement necklace. The purpose of this piece of jewelry is all in the name- it makes a statement all on its own. That said, they’re best when worn with a rather simple ensemble as it does the job of bringing a taste of drama. Also, simple studs or similar will do if you’re rockin’ one of these. Earrings that are just as attention-grabbing as your necklace are just way too much and will drown out the statement that your neck wear is trying to make. Remember how you used to ransack your mom’s jewelry box and put everything on? Yeah, don’t be that girl. LOL! 😉…

Fashion Friday: Casual Chic w/ ModCloth

Happy Friday! Today’s ensemble is the result of a prompting by Ije over at Klassy Kinks. This week, she participated in ModCloth‘s Uniquely You Challenge where she was asked to style a specific piece from their collection using up to seven items also sold by ModCloth. Ije suggested we take the dress and style it to our liking.
