The Oscars 2015 red carpet was aglow with varying hues of white and beautiful blush. I didn't watch but my eyes were glued to social media for a peek at the arrivals. In no particular order, here's a quick rundown of my favorite looks of the evening.

While I didn’t catch E! News’ Golden Globes red carpet coverage from its start, I was confident by its end that I had seen enough to establish my top looks of the night. To be fair, I scanned Twitter, Instagram and all that good stuff for possible toppers but alas, my top three remained. Here they are… 12 Years a Slave actress Lupita Nyong’o hit the red carpet with a gorgeous, floor-length Ralph Lauren number featuring an off-the-shoulder cape. Amazingly classy. She paired the gown with red Paul Andrew shoes to complete the monochromatic look and subtle Fred Leighton jewelry. Oh, and that side-parted blown out TWA is cute too! 😉 What a beauty. Hello beautiful people! Keeping this one short ‘n’ sweet today. Solange absolutely KILT it at MOMA’s The Great Gatsby screening yesterday in this striped Jill Stuart dress straight from the Fall 2013 runway show! On the feet: red satin Burberry Prorsum wedges. *swoon* She tops it off with a perfectly coiffed fro to seal the deal. Sooooo, basically what I’m saying is… WEEERRRRRRKK!!! *two snaps in a circle* Head-to-toe, she’s giving me all types of life… and that’s all I have to say about that! LOL Until next time y’all! xoxo ~ Toia
The natural hair community came to a screeching halt as social media was flooded with photos of this amazing red carpet look created by none other than the talented Felicia Leatherwood, natural hair stylist to the stars! I know you’re probably thinking, “Wow, girl you late!” But you’d be wrong LOL! Trust. I’ve been all over this since the very night Miss Parris walked that fancy coif down the red carpet of the 2013 SAG Awards. Still, I couldn’t let another week go by without an honorable mention on the blog! First, let’s REALLY give it up for celeb stylist Felicia Leatherwood who created this magnificence! *applause* Elegance? Check. Wow factor? Check. And don’t we just LOVE seeing our natural celeb sistas flaunting their coils and curls for the world to see? It was a beautiful thing. Not since Viola Davis at the Oscars did we cause such a stir!…
