Fab Festival Hair!

Happy Tuesday y’all! The International African Arts Festival in Brooklyn took place over four gorgeous (but HOT!!) days and brought out all types of gorgeous natural beauty. Although I am usually super eager to attend festivals, fairs and other free events to take in some culture, I don’t do so very often… weird, right?! Well, for that very reason, I decided to attend two days of the festival, the first and last, to take in as much as I could {see my fashion pics from day one here}. Of course, I had my Nikon in tow with the goal of capturing some of the beautiful hair I was sure to see as I roamed Commodore Barry Park. Colorful Kimono Maxi Dress

Summers in New York always bring lots of fun stuff to do with the fam! The International African Arts Festival returned to Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park Thursday July 4th through Sunday July 7th and this would be my first time attending… YIPPEE! With temps in the 90s over the past week, I needed to keep things light and airy so I would be comfortable while taking in the sights. What better way to do so than with an über-colorful, flowy kimono maxi dress. I got this one from H&M last year… LOVE the abstract print! I paired it with some “shine bright like a diamond” sandals and my straw I-wear-this-with-everything tote.
