Whether you call them jumpsuits, playsuits or rompers, they have certainly become the quintessential item for Summertime over the last few years. This season, we’re seeing tons of ’em popping up in some fabulous hues and prints to suit just about every taste and scream “fun in the sun”! Here are three faves that I found while snooping around on a few of my favorite fashion sites… Look 1: Romper– H&M; Necklace; Thong Sandal | Look 2: Romper– Dorothy Perkins; Necklace; Wedge Sandal | Look 3: Romper– Topshop; Necklace; High Heel Sandal Make your romper office-ready (if your office even allows shorts and things…) by pairing it with a smart cropped blazer. Date night? Add a coordinating cardigan and cute ballet flats. I’ll be waiting until I whip these thighs into shape before I don one o’ these myself LOL but don’t let me stop you from gettin’ your romper…

While Springtime is normally all about bright and bold hues, you don’t necessarily have to be draped in it from head to toe, especially if color really isn’t your “thing”. BUT… a great way to add a pop of color is with a gorgeous statement necklace. The purpose of this piece of jewelry is all in the name- it makes a statement all on its own. That said, they’re best when worn with a rather simple ensemble as it does the job of bringing a taste of drama. Also, simple studs or similar will do if you’re rockin’ one of these. Earrings that are just as attention-grabbing as your necklace are just way too much and will drown out the statement that your neck wear is trying to make. Remember how you used to ransack your mom’s jewelry box and put everything on? Yeah, don’t be that girl. LOL! 😉…

The black skirt. A staple in the closets of many for their versatility and functionality. To continue this love affair I have with H&M’s Spring offerings, I’m giving you two ways to style my absolute favorite item of my top ten– the Crinkled Skirt– using a host of items from the line. On the left, we have a very work appropriate getup complete with a smart drape-front chiffon blouse, faux snakeskin ankle-strap pumps and a large purse fit for all your personal and work essentials. Add a cute statement ring and drop earrings for some flair. To our right, the chill outfit. Head to date night or some fun with the girls in this funky ensemble. Denim shirts always make me happy. 🙂 Slap a stretchy tank underneath, roll up those sleeves and you’re good to go. An interesting statement necklace, a simple cognac-colored handbag and platform booties bring it all together.…
Happy Friday y’all. *le sigh* The dress that I ordered for my cousin’s wedding arrived on Tuesday. Welp, I tried it on… I was hopeful but as I kinda expected, it just didn’t work. My body is… special. While I have a very small top area, the bottom half is a completely different story. That being the case, I need to buy a size big enough to compensate for the thighs and “junk in the trunk”. (LOL!) Well, you may not be able to tell much from my pic (it was the best I could do at the time) but it was too tight, a lot shorter than I expected and honestly, the overall cut of the dress was just all wrong for me! Even if I exchanged it for a size up, I’d have a large chunk to take in at the top (nothing my mom couldn’t handle) and…
Two weeks from tomorrow… my cousin is getting MARRIED! Weeeeee! ^_^ I am beyond excited for him and cannot wait to watch as he exchanges vows with his beautiful bride. Now, I was all set to just start working out so I could wear something I already have to save some money, thinking I’d have to spend upwards of $50 for a decent dress. Welp, enter H&M.com’s 50% off sale. *rubs hands together in a sinister fashion* From the comfort of my desk… um, dining room table, I was able to snag this plum number, originally priced at $40, for the low, low price of $20!  H&M sleeveless wrap dress / Steve Madden patent pumps / ALDO purse / Banana Republic ring / ASOS watch / FOSSIL earrings This was the only dress I deemed wedding-appropriate among all the clearance dresses. At first I thought, “am I just settling? Is it really…
