After washing, I did a blowout using one of the styling products I received, Lux Locks Styling and Shine along with a small dollop of grapeseed oil as a heat protectant. Lux Locks Styling & Shine- 6 oz. $18 {For thick, dry hair that soaks up heavier creams and craves moisture and definition.} Claim: “…penetrating moisture & natural ingredients without product build up! The key is our unique blend of Shea & Ucuuba Butters, both exceptionally rich sources of Vitamins and Omega Fatty Acids, which deliver deep moisture to dry hair, and create a smooth, glossy finish that lasts and lasts.” How can I describe the smell of this?? Soooo… is it wrong if I take someone else’s go-to hairstyle and use it as my own? No, Okay, cool… ’cause that’s what’s happening! LOL! It’s no secret (at least within the natural hair community) that Essence.com Beauty Editor Nicole M. Melton is known for her fabulously coiffed topknot. I’ve seen Nicole around the circuit a number of times and it’s only upon catching up with her at a CurlBOX event at the Ouidad Salon in NYC last summer that I got to see that this was no ordinary bun!
