Hair Tip Tuesday: The Importance of a Consistent Hair Regimen
We can spend a load on the latest thing to get THE perfect hair but guess what? All those products, pills and hair potions can mean nothing if you lack consistency! Yep. Finding the right products for your hair is only half the battle. Once you’ve got that together, it’s a good idea to figure out a regular schedule of washing, conditioning and moisturizing that works best for you, otherwise known as a regimen. YOU. Not your BFF or your favorite YouTuber. You! There’s no one strict rule for every natural as to the frequency of their regimen. How could there be?! Everyone’s hair is different and will need a different routine of care depending, not only on the makeup of the hair itself but also on the person’s lifestyle… probably even more so. For example… A person who works out daily may wash or cowash their hair just as of…

Natural Fashionista: Ashlei
I stumbled upon this natural beauty’s blog last year while doing a Google search for “fashion bloggers with natural hair”. This was the first post I read of hers and I’ve been hooked ever since. Knowing I’d seen her somewhere before, a quick scan of previously downloaded pics revealed that YES… she was once featured on CurlyNikki.com. Love how she embraces her kinks! Say hello! Hi all! My name is Ashlei and I’m a personal stylist and founder of the blog Kinks are the new Pink. I currently live, work, and play in Chicago with my fiancé and our furry family of 3 cats and a new puppy dog! I’m so excited to be featured here on ToBNatural! Big thanks to Toia and to you all for tuning in! How long have you been rocking your natural and what led up to you making the decision to do so? I’ve been…

Fashion Friday: The Summer Romper
Whether you call them jumpsuits, playsuits or rompers, they have certainly become the quintessential item for Summertime over the last few years. This season, we’re seeing tons of ’em popping up in some fabulous hues and prints to suit just about every taste and scream “fun in the sun”! Here are three faves that I found while snooping around on a few of my favorite fashion sites… Look 1: Romper– H&M; Necklace; Thong Sandal | Look 2: Romper– Dorothy Perkins; Necklace; Wedge Sandal | Look 3: Romper– Topshop; Necklace; High Heel Sandal Make your romper office-ready (if your office even allows shorts and things…) by pairing it with a smart cropped blazer. Date night? Add a coordinating cardigan and cute ballet flats. I’ll be waiting until I whip these thighs into shape before I don one o’ these myself LOL but don’t let me stop you from gettin’ your romper…

Musings: Writer’s Block, Brain Farts, Etc.
Time to bear it all… kinda 😉 So, here’s the thing… I’ve been in a bit of a slump recently, writing-wise (in case you haven’t noticed LOL!). I mean, I sit down at the dining table, all pumped and determined to type up like, a week’s worth of posts, open up the laptop and… nothing. “Why?”, you ask? Who knows?! Could it be this event that I’m planning? *shrug* It could very well be that my brain has turned to mush with all the preparations on top of the already fifty-eleven things I’ve got going on in this head of mine. Could be. Or maybe… …it’s my writing space. Hey, don’t underestimate the value of a decent place to create! You fellow writers, artists and creatives alike will surely agree with me that often times, your environment can either inspire you to be super productive or do just the opposite.…
