NEXT

starting off with blow dried hair but feel free to stretch the hair however you like! part the hair starting from one ear going across the top to the other then create a side part.

NEXT

make sure the hair is all detangled. grab two small sections of hair, twist one over the other. grab more hair from underneath & twist. continue that motion to the end, staying close to the scalp.

NEXT

continue to twist all the way to the end of the hair. part out the other side & repeat going in the opposite direction with the opposite hand movement.

NEXT

once the twist is complete, add a little gel to the edges (if desired) & smooth down with a brush.

NEXT

define the side part & smooth with a bit more gel to keep it intact. now, grab one of the twists & bring the end to the back...

NEXT

wrap it around the top of your ponytail & pin down. do the same with the other twist. brush the ponytail out & divide it across into two parts.

NEXT

somewhat loosely, roll the top half upward and pin down. be sure to secure underneath so that the pins are not seen.

NEXT

this technique gives the illusion of a large, full bun. use more pins to secure your bun as-needed. tie hair down with a scarf overnight to protect from damage.

NEXT

in addition to helping to keep the hair neat, tying with a scarf helps to flatten the edges if that's your desire.  LOVING the final look!

Think you'll try this one out? It's a great everyday style but can also be dressed up for a formal occasion! for more style ideas, hop over to my YouTube channel.
