Event Recap | Healthy Hair & Beauty Affair

If you weren’t there or you don’t mess with social media, you’ve probably been wondering how my first ToBNatural event, the Healthy Hair & Beauty Affair, went on Saturday.

Just as things were about to get started

For me, the day was a blur! 😀 But I am SOOOOO happy that, with the help of a slew of awesome guests, sponsors and vendors, I was able to accomplish what I set out to give my supporters: a full beauty experience filled with education, inspiration and FUN!

It’s kinda hard to say what the highlight would be. Let’s see… in this beautiful venue we had a live big chop by the “queen mother” of natural hair Anu Prestonia & Andre Tinnie of Khamit Kinks, a host of informative hair demos, first by CharyJay representing Original Moxie followed by Meko New York Natural Hair Care Spa owner Simeko Watkins-Hartley along with her stylists Niara & Jen, a makeup how-to by the engaging and hilarious Val Joseph aka Mrs. Makeup and we capped things off with some health talk from Wonder Curl‘s Scarlett Rocourt.

I was excited to have quite a few of my fellow bloggers and natural hair enthusiasts in the building… some making treks from far away lands like Harlem {LOL} just to support lil ole me! Hugs and kisses to you all! 😉

We had passed hors d’oeuvres provided by Chef Keaton to please the palate as well as tunes by DJ Rich Nice to keep the crowd moving. Our vendors- Diva’z Den Jewelry, Mary Kay beauty consulting with Tam, Amazing Botanicals & Harper Monroe Spa– gave our guests a total beauty experience!
