I’m asked UH-LOT about the apps I use for the ‘gram and sharing is caring so here we go with my top 5 phone apps for Instagram… #teamAndroid friendly (cuz Apple be hatin!) 🙂

Planoly – going for a certain look on your feed but you wanna see what the posts will look like on your page first? Enter Planoly – a “visual planner and scheduler for Instagram”. Not only can I plan my layout for a cohesive look to my overall feed, but I can write out and save the captions in advance, add tags AND schedule the content to post automatically! Note: you will not be able to automatically post IGTV videos or photo carousels but you will get a notification when it’s time to post!
The free version will get you 30 uploads per month and you can use for one IG profile and one Pinterest profile. The “Solo” plan is $9/month for unlimited uploads on either IG or Pinterest and the other profile gets 30 uploads. Since I also manage an IG account for a retail brand, I use the “Duo” plan for two accounts at $19/month.
Photo Editing
Facetune – when it comes to phone apps for Instagram, I’m pretty sure Facetune is the one I heard about first and have had the longest. Despite the name, you can use it for much more than to tune up your face! You can adjust the overall brightness, exposure, saturation, yada yada yada of your photos, whiten your teeth, walls, or tee-shirt, enhance details, smooth stuff out, adjust color, correct imperfections (again, more than just on your face) with the “patch” tool… so much!
You’re welcome to use a ton of features for free or upgrade to Facetune VIP for $5.99 per month or get it for a year at about $24 ($1.99/month) with a 3 day trial. You can also do a one-time purchase for $69.99 if you know you love it!
Video Editing
InShot – edit like a boss with this app! Trim it, split it, crop it, add transitions. Add BOMB background music straight from the app itself, text captions, effects, filters, change speed… alladat!
You can do so much with the free version but if you really wanna do all the things with your video content, you can get access at $2.99/per month, $9.99/year with a 7 day free trial orrrrr… just purchase outright for $29.99! If you’ve got the 30 dollars… I’d say do that!

UNFOLD – in this app, you’ll find DOPE templates featuring various layouts, add text, change background color & choose from multiple fonts all from the FREE version. You can even add both photos and video in a single layout template to make it interesting!
Upgrade to UNFOLD+ and you’ll get lots more for about 20 bucks a year (7 day free trial!) or you can do the monthly plan for $2.99/month. Even if you stick with free at first, you still have a bunch of great options to choose from!
Mojo – this one has similarities to UNFOLD in that there are many interesting layouts that allows you to add multiple photos for one story frame but what makes it more BOMB is that it incorporates video and moving text. Your photos will zoom in and out, slide to the side and more while your text appears beautifully across the frame.
You can choose your fonts and even HOW the text shows up on the screen! Do you want it to slide over, fade smoothly, one word at a time? You got options! Upgrade to Pro for $39.99/yr (worth it!) with a 3 day trial (cuz that’s all it’ll take for you to love it!) or you can go month-to-month for $9.99. Forty bucks sounds better to me! LOL!

Now, I definitely use a more than these but I give these 5 phone apps for Instagram a good workout and they’re good starters if you’re unsure where to begin.
