nail clipper (optional)

so here's what came in this $2 pack: the nails, sticky-pads (that I wont be using) & a nail file.

I still like to use my own nail file & I also have a nail clipper, nail polish remover and a cotton pad.

the key to making press-ons last is in the prep! I start by removing excess oil with the polish remover.

afterwards, I file off the cuticle & clip my natural nails down a bit.

I then use my file to rough up my natural nail, creating a surface that'll bond well to the faux nail.

once that's done, I remove the excess dust with a paper towel & begin selecting the press-on sizes I'll need for each nail

now, I'll add a little glue to my natural nail...

and then apply some to the press-on nail. I apply the press-on to my natural nail and press down for about 20 seconds.

if there is any excess glue running off the side, I place a piece of paper near the area to absorb it without it sticking to my finger.

these nails were a bit too long for me, so I clipped them just a tad for a more workable length.

I used my nail file to gently round the edges so they wouldn't be too sharp.

now for the other hand! as I file to create the shape I want, I make sure I remove the excess nail filings from underneath the nail.

and there you have it! for the most part, I really like the look. I doubt they're fooling anyone LOL! but they're cute!

hope you enjoyed! next time, let's talk hair accessories...

this process should help you get the longest wear out of your press-ons, no matter what they cost!
