of course, I'm starting by thoroughly cleansing & conditioning my hair. after blowing it out, I'm going to section off some hair on the side to create some accent cornrows

I create three small-ish cornrow braids to about the ear mark & continue the braids about 2/3 of the way, leaving the ends loose. now I reach for my styler to begin curling the loose hair...

I part out a medium-sized section of hair & apply my styler to the length of the hair. I comb thru then braid from the root halfway down. I apply a bit more styler to the ends, comb thru & add a perm rod.

repeat the process. for those three cornrows, I braid them together a bit, leaving some hair loose on the ends before applying product & adding my perm rod. I allow the hair to set overnight.

the next morning, I gently remove the rods and apply some oil to smooth the hair & prevent frizz.

next, I unravel each braid and pin those three cornrow braids down toward the back of my head.

then I start separating the hair for more volume.

I like to use a hair pick to create even more volume and to close up any gaps in between the curls.

as you can see, I'm REALLY loving these curls!

I'm so happy with these bouncy and shiny results... I'll definitely be doing this again!
