Natural Hair Steam Refresh - Twist-Out Bangs + High Bun

toia barry

here's how I refresh & restyle this old twist-out... first, I create a U-part at the front of my head & section off the back.

I used my Q-Redew Handheld Hair Steamer to lightly rehydrate & stretch the hair in front. I then add hair butter to a smaller section to seal the moisture.

afterwards, I further detangled with a brush then twisted the section & add a bit of mousse for some hold.

next, I used my hair steamer to stretch out the rest of my hair, added my hair butter.

now to gather the hair into a puff & smooth the edges & back down with gel.

now, I form the loose hair into a bun & secure with another ponytail holder.

to add a little volume & height to my bun, I added 3 strands of Cuban Twist Braiding Hair.

after about an hour of setting, I take down & separate the twists. for volume, I fluff lightly & add a few bobby pins to lay it just right. voila!
