Afro Kinky Twist Hair (1B/350)

my hair is super tangled so I'm starting with a pre-poo of oil & steam to release the tangles & soften it. This will help make the shampoo process much easier & quicker.

once each section is fully detangled, I cleanse with an Apple Cider Vinegar Clarifying Rinse and then follow up with my conditioner.

I create a U-part to section off the front & proceed to blow my hair out. I created two more horizontal parts & put the 3 sections into ponytails, twisting the loose ends.

now I'm gonna pin the twists down into a row down the center of my head to prep for the synthetic I will add in a few. time to lay the edges!

I apply a bit of gel styler to the edges for the sleek finish I want. brush in & smooth with hand/fingers. I've already braided a pack of kinky faux hair. I pin that in at the top.

I use long bobby pins to better secure the faux hair to my own. once that's down (about halfway down) I put a loose braid in front, fold back & pin down.

taking another pack of hair, I divide it into 2, with one piece thicker than the other. I fold the thinner piece over the other to combine & create 3 pieces. I add underneath my existing braid...

and proceed to braid the hair all the way down to the end. to make sure I keep the braid straight, I adjust here & there as I braid down.

I continue to pin the braid down to into my own hair, making any needed adjustments so that the braid is straight and secure onto my hair. and there's the final look! ready to go!

I wore this look for a wedding but you don't have to save it for a special occasion! check out my YouTube channel & SUBSCRIBE for more inspiration!
