whether you use pen & paper or a digital planner, set yourself up for success by listing the things you need to get done. if you can, schedule out the items. you could do this when you wake up, but creating this list the night before means you can get up & right away get started on your tasks!
stretching in the mornings can relieve tension from sleeping by relaxing the muscles, which, in turn, helps prevent pain that can keep you from being productive. it also increases blood flow to help prepare your body for the day!
a messy bed can make for a messy brain & throw the whole day off. making your bed really sets the tone for the day. once it's done, you've accomplished your first task of the day! not only is your room now presentable, but it moves you to complete another task & another, etc., boosting your productivity.
drinking water increases oxygen to the brain & flushes out toxins. getting some water in first thing in the morning can give us the energy & alertness we need to jumpstart the day & be productive. I've recently implemented this in my morning routine & I feel much more ready to take on the day!
you've heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day... and it is! eating a balanced breakfast gives you the fuel you need to be alert & productive throughout the day. even if you don't want something super heavy in the AM, a nourishing smoothie can help get you started 'til lunchtime!
