whether you're not getting results from store-bought products or just wanna take a natural approach to hair care, here are a few concoctions to whip up right in your kitchen.

apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse

try apple cider vinegar as a scalp & hair cleanser/clarifier. you'll need: – 8 oz applicator bottle – 2-3 oz of ACV  – 5-6 oz warm water – essential oil(s)- optional

combine ACV & water in bottle. shake to mix well & apply to scalp. let sit for 5 minutes, massage & rinse well with cool water. any scent will dissipate once the hair dries.

honey & olive oil mask

try this mask as a pre-poo to detangle & prep hair for cleansing. great for really dry, brittle hair to help restore shine & softness. you'll need: – 1/2 cup honey – 1/4 cup olive oil

combine olive oil & honey & work into the hair a bit at a time. cover with a plastic cap & leave on for about 30 minutes. follow up with your shampoo as normal.

banana deep conditioning mask

bananas are great for moisture & contain antimicrobial properties to heal dry, flaky scalp. for the mask, you'll need: – 1 ripe banana – 2 tbsp coconut milk – 2 tbsp coconut oil – 2 tbsp honey

cut banana into pieces. in a bowl, mix ingredients or blend on high speed until smooth. apply mixture to damp hair, massage through & cover with a plastic cap for 30 minutes. rinse & style as usual.
