This week’s mani is brought to you by my favorite colors {as of last year}: coral and teal.
I acquired this coral polish at a friend’s wardrobe & accessory sale last summer. I had to have it! This particular shade, Blazed, seems to be a rather old nail color from Wet n Wild‘s Wet Shine line as I’m seeing reviews dating as far back as 2011. Pairing it with Sinful Color’s Rise and Shine was a no-brainer. They were meant to be!
I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to do an accent nail this time around but I went ahead and tried a little something. A dotting tool would’ve been ideal for this design but I made do by holding the brush on an angle, using the edge ever so carefully to form dots {or as close I could get to ’em!} in a diagonal pattern…
Hey, if I get bored with it, I could always redo the two accent nails to go for a solid look. That’s the great thing about doing your own manis- you can take it off and start again as you please! Hmph, the coral is pretty enough to rock on its own… dontcha think? ^_^
P.S. This coconut oil thing is really working on these nails. I’ve found that I’m experiencing a lot less breaks and cracks… just check out the growth! Woohoo!
So, what are your favorite mani shades? How do you keep your nails strong and prevent breakage?
Talk to you soon!
xoxo
