Hello my people and welcome to Inspiration… Execution! I’m looking to make this a regular style feature here on ToBNatural, we’ll see how it goes. Clearly, I’m so ridiculously late posting this (ummm, it’s FALL and like 60 degrees in NY now!) but I had to share.
Soooo *newsflash* I follow StylePantry religiously… (-_-) LOL! If you have a penchant for fashion and have yet to witness the awesomeness that is Folake Kuye Huntoon of stylepantry.com, please hurry! But if you’re loyal follower like moi, you gotta remember this post. It was almost bedtime and a sista had not a CLUE what to put on the next day… Enter StylePantry! Talk about a life-saver. I screamed “HEY! I HAVE PANTS LIKE THOSE!” Nope, didn’t have any suspenders but I knew EXACTLY what to do…

I snagged this cool pair of khaki capris from UNIQLO in SoHo two summers ago… on the sale rack for like fifteen bucks… last pair! *raises the roof* I often wore them with a basic tee or tank but I’m pretty sure this was the first time I paired these pants with a tucked-in button-down. Got this cute ‘n’ airy yellow one from my home away from home, H&M. 
Ugh! Why didn’t I take a pic of the back of this vest?? That right there is the “piece de resistance”! Smh. Anywho, this sleek, tailored vest was spotted in Charlotte Russe at my local mall. It was a whopping $30 (if I remember correctly… yes, I thought that was a bit much for something without sleeves! LOL) but I NEEDED. TO. HAVE. IT!! And see, it mimics the look I was going for without being an exact replica, still in keeping with the menswear theme.
Now for the shoes… *lightbulb* My comfy greenish Gap suede t-straps would do nicely!
With no suspenders to keep these capris in place, I pulled the whole thing together using this cute tan belt from Marshalls with cut-out details. Add some gold earrings and noisy bangles… Done aaaand done!
So as you can see, when you spot a look you like and are inspired, there’s no need to copy note for note, especially when you can’t afford half the actual look, or ANY of it for that matter! LOL I already had all of these items in my closet and just made it work. “Shop” in your closet and make use of what you got!
