Welcome to Thursday!
As I mentioned in last week’s Fashion Friday post, today, I am excited to finally be participating in ModCloth’s Uniquely You Campaign & Challenge along with a number of fellow bloggers. We were asked to style a featured item using up to seven additional items from ModCloth.
This week, it’s Evening of Extravagance…
This dress is great for any formal affair be it a wedding or a cocktail dinner with the ladies. And get this, it goes up to 4X! Awesome! There were so many lovely accessories to choose from that I had my indecisive moments. The one thing that was a no-brainer was the mint-colored shoulder bag (which I’d wear as a clutch by tucking the chain inside). How adorable! I wanted to add just a bit of color and this muted hue definitely hit the mark.
For me, the gold touches help bring out the shimmery underlay of the dress while the not-too-high black patent Mary Janes keeps things on a simple yet slightly retro note. It gets chilly in those reception halls (unless you’re dancing up a storm!) so once I was set with accessories, I searched for a cropped sweater to throw on over those bare arms. Well whaddyaknow about that… they have one! #winning
So, how did I do? š I can’t wait to see what the other ladies have come up with.
How would YOU wear the Evening of Extravagance dress? Would you pair it with brighter colors? I’ll be sure to let you know the outcome of the challenge next week!
Catch me tomorrow for more fashion!
xoxo

Thanks!
This is a great look, let me check out the site! #COOL
I may or may not be tight that you got this dress! Love the dainty accessories you chose, and I almost used that bag in mine last week. I would wear different shoes, either a simple neutral open toe strappy heel or a pointy colored pump!

Lol! You are too funny!
Actually, I had a pair of nudes in mind first, then I even tried a sparkly nude-ish gold pair. But I said, meh, let’s keep it classic (plus there were so many darn shoes I couldn’t even look through them all!!!!). I can def see a strappy heel though… a strap across the toe & an ankle strap.
