Fall has absolutely arrived in full force. While I was loving its moments of indecisiveness and the few “Indian summer” days we had here in NY, I couldn’t wait to break out a real coat and my wool fedora.
Hubby was off from work and it was a gorgeous, brisk fall day. After being cooped up in the apartment for most of last week, it felt good to get out and enjoy a nice walk with my family. Can you tell Micah loves to be out too?! Any chance to run around and be free, he’s all about it!
The chill was definitely in the air so I turned to what I consider to be my cool weather uniform. I’m never really fussy when it comes to getting dressed… as long as I’m comfy while looking cute. All I need are cozy sweaters, cute boots or booties and a good coat. This thrifted camel boyfriend coat (or car coat) that I got for the low low price of $5 has become my favorite throw on and go outerwear for fall!
Coat – Thrifted (similar) | Top – Gap (similar) | Jeans – Old Navy | Booties – ShoeDazzle (similar) | Purse – Gap | Hat – H&M (similar) | Micah’s Jacket – Hawke & Co (similar)
I actually stole this black fedora from the hubster! It was part of his groomsman wear for his best friend’s wedding some years back but he hasn’t worn it since then, so… THAAAANKSSS! It was the perfect fall weather add-on to my camel boyfriend coat but also came in handy because my hair wasn’t as “done” as I would’ve liked… okay, it just wasn’t done. But not to worry when you’ve got a cute hat to throw on top of a quick low puff!
Turtlenecks turn some people off but as person who hates for their neck to be cold, I’ve always adored them. This one is so cozy, I had to get it in black too. With my skinny jeans and matching camel booties to finish the look, I was set.
