Happy Tuesday y’all!
The International African Arts Festival in Brooklyn took place over four gorgeous (but HOT!!) days and brought out all types of gorgeous natural beauty. Although I am usually super eager to attend festivals, fairs and other free events to take in some culture, I don’t do so very often… weird, right?! Well, for that very reason, I decided to attend two days of the festival, the first and last, to take in as much as I could {see my fashion pics from day one here}. Of course, I had my Nikon in tow with the goal of capturing some of the beautiful hair I was sure to see as I roamed Commodore Barry Park. I wish I could’ve gotten a lot more shots but I’m happy with the ones I DID get! Take a gander…

Ran into the GORGEOUS Hadiiyah Barbel of Hadiiyah Barbel Collections!

I met Lurie, author of the book Afro State of Mind… she’s so purty with this twist-out!

Had a surprise run-in with the creator of Karen’s Body Beautiful and her signature mega-fro!
The next event I PROMISE to get more hair AND fashion pics! I was so busy downing some real coconut water and just enjoying a peaceful day out…
I hope to have a little recap video up soon for ya!
Until next time,
xoxo
