Ugh! Sadly, this is the story for many of our young curly and kinky-haired girls.
Is there any way to change the perception of naturally textured hair for these little beauties?
#LoveYourCurls, the latest initiative by Dove, aims to do just that. The bottom line: Love your curls and they will too!
When this video came up in my Facebook feed the other day, I watched immediately and knew I just HAD to share! It may be the preggo hormones (LOL!) but it had me tearing up. Simple beautiful!

What stood out to me is that a full range of curls are represented from loose waves to tightly-coiled kinks. It’s so important that we show young girls by way of example that we love ourselves just the way we are, including our hair! The likelihood is that they will grow to love theirs too!

I think it’s a great thing to encourage everyone to accept and love who they are…but even more so for little girls. There are many things out there that can make you dislike so many things about yourself. I really enjoyed the video when I saw it too!! #BLMGirl

Loved this ad and I liked that it focused on all curly haired women. Thumbs up to dove.
