Thursday. It was such a beautiful day. I felt like taking a walk… so we did. Gotta love the hubster!
We took a leisurely stroll down Flatbush Avenue, walking along Prospect Park. We noticed the fountain at Grand Army Plaza was on for the summer so, instead of walking around, we walked right on through and took in all its beauty.
These moments are so necessary.
After a few pics and some video, we kept right on walking. Once we hit Park Slope, Seventh Ave to be exact, hubs had a hankering for a smoothie and quickly Googled the nearest shop. And so began our walk over to Fifth Ave to Brooklyn Crepe and Juice where we both enjoyed 24 ounces of mango/peach/strawberry deliciousness. It was a hot one so it really hit the spot! There’s nothing like fresh ingredients. So refreshing.
I don’t normally wear these two pieces together. I’d usually do a “safe” white tee or tank with this skirt but they were all in the hamper and I needed to throw on something quickly. This meant pieces that required little to no ironing. Score!

I am so happy and thankful for these peaceful moments I get to share with my husband. With us both working part-time (him, overnight), we’re able to spend some quality time together a number of times a week. We hardly plan. Most of our outings are spur of the moment… and I LOVE it!
One more quick shot on the way back…

Yessss! You know I’m here for the peaceful strolls and downtime. Our favorite spot is the lake, so peaceful. We pack a picnic and just out there and chat 🙂 I spy hubby taking pics in the window hehe

Ha! Yes! Made sure to include that one so folks know he exists lol. The lake sounds so peaceful and serene. Before the summer is out I should drag hubby to Prospect Park to chill. It’s almost literally around the corner so there’s no excuse! 🙂
Nice peaceful stroll with the one you love. Doesn’t get much better!

True indeed! 😉 Thanks so much for reading and commenting! Xoxo
Love this! Great post. As for me and summer summer summertime, I love taking long walks, as well. Nice to breathe in and just look up and around me.

Thanks girlie! It’s so funny… I’ve lived in Brooklyn basically all my life and can honestly say I’ve discovered more Brooklyn in the last couple years than in the first 30 of my life. Just walking around and observing has been so… enriching!
