Bananapple-Orange & Spinach Smoothie!

(Hey, I was trying to come up with a catchy name for this, didn’t quite work! LOL!)

Here’s a simple smoothie recipe to try! Most of my smoothies are created simply from whatever I happen to have in the fridge that day… so here goes!

2 cups of spinach

chopped & ready to spin!

1 large orange

2 bananas

2 Granny Smith apples

1 Tbsp flaxseed

1/2 cup water (approx) or ice cubes

1/2 cup of milk

Chop your fruit down blender-friendly size, throw all your ingredients in there and blend away! For my rather old Oster blender, I find it best to start things on “blend” at high speed and then work my way up each function to “liquefy”. You may have to stop midway and help it along with a spoon, just to make sure everything mixes well.

Substitute the water for your favorite natural fruit juice (I didn’t have any that day :-/), adding as much as you like for the consistency you desire. A friend of mine used Vanilla-flavored Almond Milk with this recipe… great idea! This will not only help with consistency but will give it an awesome flavor as well.
