don't put too much tension on your edges with styles that are meant to protect your hair or give it a break. try smoothing with just your hands for a slick bun or high puff & leave out the brush until your hair is back to normal. wear your hair out more often than pulled up or back into a tight style.

the hair around your edges are super fragile & should be treated as such. speak up when you’re in that salon chair & let your braider know if they’re braiding too tight to avoid damage. if you’re already suffering from thin edges, it would be best to stay away from these types of styles altogether for a while.

scalp massages are relaxing but also help stimulate blood flow to the follicles to encourage hair to return. nightly massages with your carrier oil of choice (I like sweet almond & jojoba) can improve blood circulation, carrying nutrients to those areas to promote growth.
