gel of choice
moisturizer
styler for hold
start with stretched hair
here, I'm using my hair steamer to stretch my hair while adding a bit of moisture. feel free to stretch yours however you like!
brush out & part hair
after the hair is stretched, create a U-Part in the front of the hair for the bang. add oil to seal moisture & your styler for hold.
add styler, twist & curl
here, I'm just curling the hair but I later switch to twisting & then curling. I then detangle/stretch the rest of the hair for my bun.
start your bun...
brush hair up and add some gel to the sides and back if a sleek look is desired. gather hair into a ponytail.
create the bun
spread the loose hair out, then roll & tuck in a circular motion.
finish bun, complete bang
continue to roll & tuck until all the hair is tucked, secure with second ponytail holder. continue bang - add oil, styler, twist, curl.
complete & tie down
the next day, carefully remove perm rods & untwist hair.
take down twists
add a bit of oil to your fingers & gently take down the twists, smoothing the hair while being careful not to create frizz.
separate. fluff. finish!
for more volume, separate each twist where the hair naturally wants to separate. use a pick to fluff & fill in any gaps. all done!
